Discussion led by Professor Stephan Beck, UCL Cancer Institute
The Personal Genomics Project (PGP) is a non-profit research project to accelerate and advance Personal and Medical Genomics as well as Citizen Science. Using innovative open consent and open access protocols, the PGP has pioneered the linking of genomic, medical and environmental data. In the US, PGP has already enrolled over 3,000 participants and generated full genome sequences with linked medical, trait and environmental records to over 600. Open consent/access policies, genome donations and the reporting of incidental genetic and epigenetic variants will be discussed.
