LECTURE The Mayflower Generation: the families, the voyage and the founding of America
December 4, 2018 @ 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm
Rebecca Fraser, writer and broadcaster
Rebecca Fraser is a writer, journalist and former President of the Bronte Society. Her biography of Charlotte Bronte was highly praised, as was her 2003 People’s History of Britain. Her recent book The Mayflower Generation: The story of the Winslow Family and the Fight for the New World is the story of that seminal event in world history, told through the experience of two generations of one ordinary family. Last year it was selected both by The Times and The Tablet as a History Book of the Year.
Rebecca is married to the Human Rights lawyer, Edward Fitzgerald, who has also been to talk at the Institution.
