Antony Gormley (b. 1950) is one of Britain’s most celebrated sculptors. Winner of the Turner Prize in 1994 and elected Royal Academician in 2003, his widely acclaimed sculptures, installations and public artworks explore the relationship of the human body with time and space.
Lucy Chiswell’s talk will give an overview of the exhibition Antony Gormley (Royal Academy of Arts, 21 September-3 December 2019) and will highlight some of the key concerns at the heart of Gormley’s practice.
