A course for those interested in exploring the ingredients that make up the most complex of art forms. A prior knowledge of opera is useful but not essential.
During the two-day workshop we will look at the operatic process from start to finish both on and off stage.

When it goes wrong. Classic mistakes with memorable examples
Each session will consist of a lecture followed by a discussion with some visual and audio examples taken mainly from the UK opera scene.

Tutor Nicholas Heath has many years’ experience of the opera world. After studying art and design, he chose to pursue a career in singing including 13 years at The Royal Opera House. He founded both Opera A La Carte and Regents Opera where he has produced, directed and designed over 45 productions.
