The HLSI is licensed for Civil Marriage ceremonies. The licensed areas are the Members’ Room, which can accommodate 50 people (including 2 Registrars), the Coleridge Room, which accommodates 15 and the Victoria Hall, which accommodates 80. The fee for a ceremony is £175 in addition to the hourly hire rate. Couples are advised to contact the Registrar at Camden Town Hall (020 7974 1900 or 020 7974 2027) at the earliest opportunity to book the Registrar for the ceremony. Please note that the Registrar charges to officiate at ceremonies held at venues such as The HLSI.
Ceremonies may be booked with or without a reception afterwards. Please note we do not allow the use of confetti in or out of the HLSI.

Once a date has been selected, a provisional booking is made. The prospective hirer then has a certain amount of time (usually 2 weeks) to make up his/her mind, and then the provisional date is either confirmed or cancelled. If it is confirmed, a returnable deposit of £250 will be required to secure the booking; this is banked and held until after the function. The full cost of hiring is due one month before the event
