This term we will be looking at how lettering could be used in embroidery. Jill and Jackie will help you create a piece of embroidery around a word or a letter using any technique of embroidery you would like to explore. The tutors are keen to welcome new students who would like to explore any aspect of embroidery. It does not necessarily have to relate to the chosen theme of the term. It could be that you would just like to explore texture and stitching? Not a problem the tutors are there to help guide and inspire you create your own identity and style.
The class is about bringing people together who like exploring with fabric and thread through stitch, as well as other mixed media. Come and join us for a relaxed informative term of fun and creativity.

Jill has a City & Guilds qualification in Embroidery and a BA Hons in Textiles & Fashion. She has been teaching for several years and runs workshops at the Knitting and Stitching shows.
